It was interesting. Just the other day I was describing our visit in detail to a friend and he asked what was the negative (he's one of these persons that thrives on the contraversies of life) and the only negative I could think of is that there were places on my to see list that we didn't get to! The accomodations you arranged for us where just wonderful.You have picked B&B's run by people who just love interacting with visitors and they make guests feel so welcome. . My son did a very competent job driving us on the left hand side of the road. Tina, I will be back to you for my next trip. We had only gotten as far as Dunmore East when I knew I would have to visit Ireland again. There was no bad and certainly no ugly. The weather even cooperated! We had rain one day. Thank you for your help with our very memorable trip and I will be back with you for my next adventure.

House of Waterford Crystal

The iconic House of Waterford Crystal in the heart of Waterford city, comprises of a brand new manufacturing facility, visitor centre and retail outlet. Visitors can enjoy all aspects of the manufacturing process through the factory tour and learn about both historical and contemporary production techniques through direct interaction with the craftsmen and the audiovisual materials. The manufacturing facility contains a brand new continuous melt tank furnace that has been tailor-made to Waterford Crystal’s specifications, and produces two tonnes of molten crystal every day, which produces 45,000 high-end crystal pieces per year. It uses leading edge technology to deliver molten crystal of the highest quality for skilled master blowers to hand-shape and hand-blow into Waterford Crystal’s range of premium products. The tour of our Visitor Experience and Factory takes approximately 1 hour 30/40 minutes and includes a visit to all aspects of the production including: - Mould Making & Crystal Blowing - Quality Inspection & Finishing - Crystal Cutting, Sculpting & Engraving

In addition, the opulent onsite retail centre represents the largest display of Waterford Crystal anywhere in the world and will delight visitors’ young and old. Our Services include a UPS Worldwide Shipping Service, Multi-currency Exchange and a VAT Refund Service. Our Crystal Café produces local pastries, sandwiches and serves high-quality teas and freshly brewed coffee.
