What insurance is included?
All compulsory insurance is included in your quote. This includes Third Party Liability, Collision Damage Waiver (Damage to the rental car with an excess) and Theft Protection (with an excess). You have the option of purchasing further insurance when you collect the car: Excess waiver (reduces your excess liability to zero) and Personal Accident Insurance (extensive benefits in event of personal injury/death).

Is my mileage restricted?
There is an unlimited mileage allowance.

Where do I go to pick up the car, once booked?
If you are picking up at an airport, the Budget desks are located in the arrivals halls of each airport. Our city centre locations can be found here.

How far are the cars from the rental desk?
In city locations, cars are right outside the door. Budget Car Rental have excellent locations in airports, and your car is never more than 150 metres from the car rental desk.

What happens if my flight is delayed?
We will meet all scheduled flights, even if delayed, if you have pre-booked.

I have decided I want a bigger car. What do I do now?
You can upgrade your car when you arrive at the car rental desk. We will gladly upgrade your car for you, pending availability.

What happens if the car breaks down?
In the unusual event of a breakdown, you have 24 hour breakdown assistance. The number to call is in the car and on the car rental agreements form.

Does the credit card holder have to be the driver?
No, but the credit card holder does have to be present.

What documents do I need for when I collect the car?
You will need your reservation number which is emailed to you when you book your car on this site. You will also need a current, valid driver?s licence, which you will have held for at least two years. Travellers from overseas will need a licence issued in their country of residence along with an English translation (where appropriate). Some form of picture Identity is required, e.g. Passport, ID card etc.

What is the maximum time I can rent a car for?
You can rent a car for a maximum of 28 days at any one time.

How old do I have to be to hire a car?
The minimum age is 23 years. The maximum age for renting a car is 75. Further age restrictions apply forcertain vehicles.

Can I return the car outside of opening hours?
Unfortunately this is not possible.

Can I pre-book baby seats on this website?
Yes. You can book baby seats when you are booking your car. (Step 2 of the booking process)

When do I pay for the car?
You pay for the car at the rental desk just before you pick-it up. Your credit card details are taken as security to book the car.

If I book a car on the site, how will I know that you have received my details?
You will receive a confirmation email from our reservations department.
