Dear Stephanie, We, first of all, send you our sincere thanks for the planning of our trip to Ireland last month. The planing was perfect, the hotels first class, the car very good and finally, the guide driver, the most wonderful person we knew in this two weeks in your country. He is a very educated person, incridibly helpful, courteous, and allways ready to atend to our needs. You know, in a country we visited for the first time, sometimes we felt lost and a litle bit ignorants, and he tried to show us all the best you have there, including, guessing what we like to see and know. He was very patient with us, considering the language barrier, for our english is a litle bit not satisfactory. We ask you to notice our delite of having him as our companion to the company he works for.; And to you, we say we will tell our friends who want to visit Ireland to do through your companie, and ask for your help.Tereza Koch Cavalcanti., Brazil

Castle Grove was built in 1695 by the Grove family, who came here in 1656; however, the original Ireland country house was burnt during the siege of Londonderry in 1690. It was here also that the famous Daniel O'Connell was introduced to the powers that be; that led to him being an elected MP at the time. Castle Grove also had a big influence in the life of General Richard Montgomery whose fame still lives on - the American War of Independence. During famine times the Groves both fed and educated all tenant families. We all enjoy the welcoming atmosphere that lives on from such generosity and is complimented by the "Cead Mile Failte" that awaits you to make your stay a memorable one.
