Hello, Liz - We had a wonderful trip - some credit has to go to the phenomenally beautiful sunshine day-after-day while we were there. We had no bad luck - and some exceptionally nice B&Bs, well located, competent and friendly hosts and attractive rooms. A few were 'lesser', but no specific complaints. Thanks for the good service -Jean Wagenerr, Northfield, MA

Set in its own gardens and amongst the breathtaking scenery of the Burren, Sheedy's Country House enjoys a perfect location. The original house dates from the 17th Century and is the oldest house in the village of Lisdoonvarna. All our guestrooms have been individually designed and comfort is guaranteed. Crisp white linen, fluffy white towels, luxury toiletries combine with thoughtful colour schemes and lavish soft furnishings to create an atmosphere of unhurried luxury.
The food is the focus at Sheedy's Country House Hotel. Sheedy's reputation is based upon the modern interpretation of traditional dishes, concentrating upon the superb local ingredients. Since 1998, Sheedy's Restaurant has been awarded two rosettes for food from The AA. The New York Times, in an article on The Burren, said "I had an entrée of black sole so exquisite, I wonder if I'll ever eat fish that fresh again". The restaurant is recognised very favourably in The Good Food Guide and Fodors Guide has awarded it a Star.
Sheedy's spacious Junior Suites and Suites have very cosy sitting areas and exceptionally spacious and luxurious bathrooms. All rooms have television, telephone, hairdryer, CD music system and tea & coffee making facilities. There is much to do in the Burren and our Library is the perfect place for relaxing and planning your day - Cliffs of Moher, Ailwee Caves, the Atlantic Coastline, Lahinch Golf Course and Doolin are all within a short drive from the Hotel. The staff of Sheedy's Country House look forward to welcoming you to their home.
