REVIEW
Enjoying an idyllic setting in the heart of Ireland and overlooking
Lough Ennell, Bloomfield House Hotel and Leisure Club is surrounded
by acres of rich parkland and is the perfect place to unwind. The
house itself boasts a colourful history dating back to the mid 19th
century and in 1932 ended up in the possession of the Franciscan
order of nuns, who maintained a convent there until 1979.
Transformed into a hotel, the rich wood furniture,
old marble fireplaces, antique paintings and decorative chandeliers
still reflect the property's original old world charm. And the
increase from 29 to 65 en-suite guestrooms with every modern facility
and the addition of a superb leisure centre, second to none, has
marked the beginning of a new era for this beautiful manor house.
Bloomfield House Hotel is a perfect base for
the golfer to experience the likes of Mullingar, Esker Hills and
Glasson, while the great Dublin courses are also within range.
The Brinsley Restaurant at Bloomfield is a must for those who
appreciate good food. The level of service and quality of cuisine
is superb and with an extensive wine list and interesting mix
of modern and traditional dishes, the Brinsley Restaurant is the
perfect place to enjoy a sumptuous meal.
