ACCOMMODATION
REVIEW
A family owned and managed establishment, the Killarney Park Hotel
is one of Ireland's finest hotels and is committed to achieving
the highest possible standards of guest comfort. Personal attention
to detail is evident from the moment you step inside while the warm,
soothing colours; plush sofas, elegant antiques and efficient service
make you believe that you have wandered into a Victorian country
home. This particular home however, is located a stone's throw from
the centre of Killarney with all the quietness, intimacy and privacy
associated with bygone days.
A sense of old world opulence strikes as you
ascend the central staircase to the residential wing, where the
bedrooms have been designed to offer every modern comfort. The
spacious suites, with their open fires, splendid furnishings and
antique beds literally speak for themselves while all rooms are
decorated with thoughtful colour schemes to the very highest standards.
The well-stocked traditional library is the perfect venue to lose
yourself for a time, while the traditional theme continues in
the Garden Bar, a cosy place to enjoy a quiet pint or appetizing
snack.
The Park Restaurant simply exudes elegance
and its award-winning cuisine is served discreetly by attentive
staff. The drawing room, with its tremendous marble fireplace
is one of the most beautiful rooms in the hotel, while the dimly
lit billiards room, with its timber paneling, has witnessed the
consumption of many a brandy and Cuban cigar in its time. And
whether you spend the day on the golf course or exploring the
likes of Muckross House, Torc Waterfall, Killarney's Lakes or
the Gap of Dunloe, the health spa is the perfect place to relax
after a long day.
