REVIEW
Rosleague Manor is a family-run country house hotel set on a private
30-acre woodland estate, lying approximately eight miles north of
Clifden Town, situated on the Atlantic Ocean overlooking Ballinakill
Bay and nestling among the Connemara Mountains. The original house
is over 200 years old, with its sympathetically added extensions
retaining all the character and charm of the 18th century, yet offering
all the amenities expected by today's discerning guest.
This beautiful manor house has been tastefully
restored to its former glory, with log fires, antique furnishings
and impressive paintings all adding to the atmosphere. All guestrooms,
offering either sea or forest vistas, are individually decorated,
with en-suite bathrooms, colour television and all other modern
amenities. Guests can relax in the hotel's conservatory and enjoy
the splendid scenery, while an attentive staff caters for your
every need. Rosleague Manor, by the way, is also renowned for
its superb cuisine and really does provide a great culinary experience.
Rosleague Manor is situated in another of those
places, which due to its outstanding natural beauty, never ceases
to amaze you. There are many activities to enjoy and places to
visit in the area. Guests can indulge in a spot of fishing or
hill walking and are free to explore the Connemara National Park,
which offers many scenic walking trails. The quaint heritage town
of Clifden, made famous by John Ford in his classic film, "The
Quiet Man", and known as the Capital of Connemara, is only
a short journey from the hotel and is well worth a visit.
