ACCOMMODATION
REVIEW
Custom built in 1994, combining modern amenities with the elegance
of an earlier age, Teach de Broc is the ultimate golfer's guesthouse.
Everything here revolves around golf and being about a minute's
walk from one of the most famous links courses in the world, it's
not hard to see why. Run by Aoife and Seamus Brock, no effort is
spared in satisfying the demands of their golfing guests. From the
drying of wet shoes to the preparation of early morning breakfasts
in order to facilitate early tee times, you can be assured that
Teach de Broc will leave no stone unturned.
A unique property in many ways, noted for its
enviable location, hospitality and quality accommodation; part
of the intrigue of Teach de Broc is its name. Pronounced as "Tshock
de Brock", the literal Gaelic translation of the name is
"House of the Brock Family" (the Gaelic translation
House is "Teach"). And given the family-run nature of
the guesthouse, the pervading friendly atmosphere of an Irish
home ensures that all guests feel comfortable and relaxed.
The house itself was specifically designed
to enhance the comfort of its guests and the comfortable resident's
lounge is the ideal place to relax after a round of golf, read
a book, plan your itinerary or simply meet other guests around
the fireplace. Though Teach de Broc does not serve dinner, breakfast
here is quite something to savour. Irish scones are freshly baked
each morning, while guests may choose between a delectable full
Irish breakfast of bacon, egg and sausage and a healthier option
of cereal, yoghurt and fruit. And if your itinerary demands an
early start, then breakfast can be served early to ensure a full
belly on the first tee.
