About Kinnitty Castle Hotel
A resplendent Gothic revival Ireland castle hotel standing in woodlands on the slopes of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, the sheer size and beauty of the estate (20,000 acres) is breathtaking. Kinnitty Castle is located almost equidistant from Dublin, Limerick and Galway. Having recently undergone a £3 million refurbishment to put it among Ireland's leading luxury hotels, Kinnitty Castle is an exceptional retreat for lovers of good food and the great outdoors. The wealth of wildlife and game make it a paradise for almost every country pursuit. Don't miss Kinnitty Castle on your trip to Ireland.
Within the guest rooms the gothic experience continues. Serene and comfortable, many command glorious views of the surrounding areas, and all offer the same comfort and style. Arched doorways, warm colors and authentic pieces of furniture enrich your experience. Children under the age of 12 are welcome at Kinnitty Castle and can stay with their parents without extra charge.

With a few exceptions, we all enjoyed a great vacation(particularly the golfers). We played 11 golf courses in 14 days and all of them were in good condition.
Our only bad hotel experience was at the Albany Hotel in Edinburgh. Once we got a few issues resolved, that also went fairly well.
The transportation was great, and we are all very happy that we decided to use a hired driver for this trip. I don't think that we could have gotten our luggage in any vehicle that we could have rented.
Cathal did an excellent job in arranging this trip. In addition to dealing with 6 demanding people, he handled all the arrangements to our satisfaction. I think that any problems encountered were out of his control.
I think, taking all things into consideration(people, hotels, golf, transportation, food, etc.), that we preferred Ireland to Scotland.
