About Sheedy's Country House Hotel

Set in its own gardens and amongst the breathtaking scenery of the Burren, Sheedy's Country House enjoys a perfect location. The original house dates from the 17th Century and is the oldest house in the village of Lisdoonvarna. All our guestrooms have been individually designed and comfort is guaranteed. Crisp white linen, fluffy white towels, luxury toiletries combine with thoughtful colour schemes and lavish soft furnishings to create an atmosphere of unhurried luxury.

The food is the focus at Sheedy's Country House Hotel. Sheedy's reputation is based upon the modern interpretation of traditional dishes, concentrating upon the superb local ingredients. Since 1998, Sheedy's Restaurant has been awarded two rosettes for food from The AA. The New York Times, in an article on The Burren, said "I had an entrée of black sole so exquisite, I wonder if I'll ever eat fish that fresh again". The restaurant is recognised very favourably in The Good Food Guide and Fodors Guide has awarded it a Star.
