Beara Peninsula
Beara is a peninsula on the south-west coast of Ireland, bounded between the Kenmare "river" (actually a bay) to the north side and Bantry Bay to the south. It has two mountain ranges running down its centre: the Caha Mountains and the Slieve Miskish Mountains. The northern part of the peninsula from Kenmare to near Ardgroom is in County Kerry, while the rest forms the barony of Bear in County Cork
The Beara Peninsula is steeped in myths and legends. The mountains and valleys are rich in archaeological sites such as stone circles, wedge graves and other relics from the past. We have scenic lakes cradled by gorgeous mountains and a rugged coastline with lots of great fishing spots. Linking all this together is the Beara Way walking trail, also a cycling route and the Ring of Beara for those who wish to drive Ballydonegan Beach with Allihies beyond, one of the many beautiful locations waiting for you to come and explore.

Customer Testimonial
Dear Liz,
With a few exceptions, we all enjoyed a great vacation(particularly the golfers). We played 11 golf courses in 14 days and all of them were in good condition.
Our only bad hotel experience was at the Albany Hotel in Edinburgh. Once we got a few issues resolved, that also went fairly well.
The transportation was great, and we are all very happy that we decided to use a hired driver for this trip. I don't think that we could have gotten our luggage in any vehicle that we could have rented.
Cathal did an excellent job in arranging this trip. In addition to dealing with 6 demanding people, he handled all the arrangements to our satisfaction. I think that any problems encountered were out of his control.
I think, taking all things into consideration(people, hotels, golf, transportation, food, etc.), that we preferred Ireland to Scotland.
Best Regards,Bill Watkins, Lexington, SC
