| A
Luxury 5 Star Castle Hotel in Co. Clare |
|
 |
Dromoland Castle, one of Ireland 's
finest castle hotels, offers guests the experience of living
like landed gentry, surrounded by luxury, beauty and service.
The castle, a magnificent Renaissance structure built in the
16th century, was once the royal seat of the O'Brien Clan. Refurbished
and transformed into a luxury castle hotel in 1962, it retains
priceless reminders of the Castle 's
historic past. Splendid woodcarvings and stone statuary, hand-carved
paneling and fine antique furnishings surround guests. On Dromoland
Castle 's
375-acre estate, guests can hunt, fish, ride horseback, golf,
play tennis and more. |
| |
| Through your bedroom window, the grounds of the Dromoland
Castle estate are spread magnificently before your eyes. Each
guest room enjoys its own individual personality, blending
period decoration with today's modern amenities. Dromoland
Castle bedrooms give an uncommon degree of comfort to guests.
Relax and reflect on the enjoyments of the day in the comfort
of your room and perhaps call Room Service to deliver canapés
and champagne before dinner.

DINING AT DROMOLAND is always an occasion. It is also a culinary
delight; the quality of the food and service is renowned the
world over. There is something special for all tastes, a six-course
dinner celebration, an afternoon tea in the Drawing Room or
a light snack in the Country Club, all can be enjoyed in wonderfully
grand but relaxed settings.
The Earl of Thomond Restaurant offers a relaxed but elegant
dining experience. Located on the ground floor, dinner can be
enjoyed in an ambience enhanced by the soft music of the Castle's
resident harpist. Enjoy breakfast, light lunch and dinner in
this wonderful setting. The bill of fare includes a large a
la carte menu, a daily 'table d'hôte' menu and a selection
of gastronomic menus. Executive Chef McCann's approach is one
of simplicity founded on his classical training using the freshest
locally sourced ingredients.
The Fig Tree Restaurant offers a wonderful variety of dining,
from 12 noon to 10pm. The menu and presentation have been created
for more informal dining, in contrast to the award-winning Earl
of Thomond Restaurant. |
| |
| For guests preferring the privacy and comfort of their
room or suite, the full complement of restaurant menus is
offered. Room service is available from 7am to 11pm. A reduced
night menu is available from 11pm to 7am.
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR REPUTATION for fine cuisine, Dromoland’s
wine list has been meticulously selected to uphold this standard
of excellence. The Sommelier will be happy to discuss or advise
as required. For the knowledgeable, or indeed the curious,
the Wine Cellar is an Aladdin's Cave of interest and atmosphere,
especially when toured by candlelight. They also offer a wide
selection of vintage ports and cognacs to add the finishing
touch to your meal.
