Day 1: Dublin Castle & City Tour

Your Irish trip starts at 2:00 pm when you meet your tour director at your Dublin hotel and set out on a tour of central Dublin to see elegant Georgian squares, Trinity College, St. Stephen’s Green, the Famine Memorial and O’Connell Street. Take a guided tour through parts of Dublin Castle, which was the seat of power for many centuries. Back at your hotel enjoy a welcome drink.

Day 2: Russborough House & Taylor’s Three Rock Pub

This morning drive through the delightful scenery of the Wicklow Mountains to Blessington for a guided tour of stately Russborough House, a Palladian mansion filled with interesting treasures of art and photography. The afternoon is free so that you may use your independent open-top bus voucher with a visit to Guinness Storehouse or General Post Office. Head to Taylor’s Three Rock Pub for dinner with traditional music, songs and step-dancing. (B, D)

Day 3: Waterford Crystal & Kinsale Walk

Travel south to the ancient port of Waterford. At the House of Waterford Crystal watch skilled craftspeople blow and cut crystal to create elegant tableware and special trophies. Drive through Cork to Kinsale, a delightful old fishing town, which is now renowned for sailing and gourmet food. Join a local guide for a short walk around Kinsale’s historic streets. (B, D)

Day 4: Blarney Castle & Killarney

Visit Blarney Castle to kiss the famous stone and shop at the Blarney Woollen Mills for quality Irish goods. Travel to Killarney and spend free time to browse around the town and take a horse-drawn jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park to Ross Castle. Drive along the Dingle Peninsula and stop for an Irish coffee at the South Pole Inn before continuing to your hotel in Dingle, a lively and attractive town. (B, D)

Day 5: Dingle Peninsula & Blasket Centre

Explore western Dingle Peninsula to experience views of heathery mountains, sandy beaches and rocky headlands. Visit the Blasket Centre in Dunquin to learn about the offshore Blasket Islands. Return to the town of Dingle and enjoy a casual pub lunch. The rest of the day is free to browse around this charming town. (B, L)

Day 6: Cliffs of Moher & Banquet

Visit the Foynes Flying Boat Museum, which recalls early days of flight. Travel to Ennis and at 2:30 pm depart for the Cliffs of Moher, a dramatic wall of rock that plunges to the Atlantic Ocean. Drive a few miles to 15th century Knappogue Castle for a medieval-style banquet. (B, D)

Day 7: Tour Ends at Shannon

Your trip ends after breakfast this morning. (B)
