The ring of Kerry is famous throughout Ireland and indeed the world for its spectacular scenery. While the main roads can be busy, we avoid the traffic by taking some hillier options that criss-cross these two dramatic peninsulas.

Our first biking Ireland tour and still one of our favourite routes. We start and finish the tour in the bustle of Killarney. From Monday to Wednesday, we circumnavigate the beautiful Beara and Mizen Peninsulas before heading inland on Thursday to peaceful Gougane Barra, site of St Finbar's hermitage retreat.

The road winds along the River Lee and the West Cork Coast, where the smell of the sea battles with the scent from bracken and wild flowers. This cycling tour starts in Cork City and finishes up in Kinsale. We hug the coastline during the week taking in the charming villages of Baltimore, Union Hall and Glandore, with the nearby Neolithic stone circle of Drombeg.
