Cahernane House Hotel
Formerly the Residence of the Herbert Family, the Earls of Pembroke, Cahernane House dates back to the 17th Century. The last quarter mile to the Cahernane House Hotel is through a tunnel of greenery that frames its long private avenue - an approach that helps you to find a slower, sweeter tempo in time with its tranquility. Cahernane House is situated on its own parklands on the edge of Killarney's National Park, an area of outstanding beauty with it's untamed landscape of mountains, lakes and woodland walks, and only a 10 minute walk from Killarney town.
On the house grounds there is croquet, billiards, hard court tennis, garden walks and fishing. Locally there is championship golf, hill walking, horse riding and biking with Killarney's beauty spots only a short distance away. Cahernane House prides itself on its award-winning restaurant offering fine wines and delicious food prepared daily with the best of local produce. The Herbert Room restaurant offers full a la carte, table d'hote and vegetarian dishes prepared by our master chef. The Pembroke Room Bistro restaurant offers freshly prepared dishes nightly from 7:00 p.m.
