Kissanes Sheep Farm
On Ireland's famous Ring of Kerry you and your kids can visit a traditional, family run sheep farm with approximately 1000 mountain sheep and lambs. Farmer John Kissane is fifth generation on the farm and shows you how he rounds up the sheep with the help of his working sheepdogs (border collies). You can also watch sheep shearing, cuddle the lambs and if lucky help bottlefeeding the orphan lambs. The farm also offers visitors some beautiful walks with spectacular views on Ireland’s highest mountains, the McGillycuddy Reeks. And if you love the Irish sheep but can’t take them home.... Why not adopt one of these cuddly animals on the farm!
