The North Yorkshire Moors Vintage Steam Train is a heritage railway in North Yorkshire and runs through the North York Moors National Park. The Steam Train is thought to be the busiest steam heritage line in the world. Take in the station shops and sample some drinks from the tea rooms. This authentic rail tour will allow you to journey behind a Heritage Diesel Engine and take in the sounds and smells of the workhorses of Britain’s railways. One of the highlights of the rail journey is to take in an unforgettable meal on the Pullman Dining Train. There is also the opportunity to stay in the railway camping coache and as you travel, there is the opportunity to step back in time and explore the stations that are themed throughout the different steam eras. In addition don’t miss out in the chance to explore Peter’s Railway Young Engineer’s Centre which is an excellent interactive exhibition for children to learn about engineering and science through the power of storytelling.
