Since its official opening in 1994, Rathsallagh has taken its place among the top courses in the country. Less than 3 years after opening Rathsallagh made its way to the top 30 (out of over 350) of Ireland's Greatest Golf Courses of 1997. Rathsallagh is a spectacular course, which will test the pros without intimidating the club golfer.

Set on 252 acres of lush parkland with thousands of mature trees, natural water hazards and a gently rolling landscape, Rathsallagh was really, like all the best golf courses, designed by nature but adapted for golf by man. The course continues to receive favourable reviews from those who play the course. It has a lovely clubhouse sitting on a hillside of the 18th green, the visitor is assured a very pleasant collection of memories. Magnificent mature trees and wandering brooks give the course an instant feeling of age and thousands of new trees have been planted to transform it into a tree-lined wonder in future years.
