Generally, links courses are in remote, even desolate areas (therein the charm) but this equally charming and strikingly beautiful one is only 5 km from the center of Dublin, on Bull Island, a bird sanctuary. It's the second-oldest club in Ireland and is designed in the old tradition of seaside links very similar to St. Andrews: The front nine goes out in a line (wind helping) and the back nine comes back in a line (wind against) So, don't expect to make a comeback on the way home if you struggled going out. As with all great clubs, Royal Dublin has the amenities to match its course.

Location

North Bull Island, Dublin, 5km from Dublin City, overlooking Dublin Bay.
