The Museum and Library of WB Yeats is situated in a beautiful former bank buiilding, in a pretty setting near Hyde Bridge.The Yeats Memorial Museum containing different editions of the poet’s works, letters and written material concerning him, opened here in 1958, its inspiration coming from Nora Niland, Librarian at the time. You can visit the WB Yeats Exhibition which has a video presentation and valuable draft manuscripts while the exhibition catalogue makes a good souvenir of Sligo.
