Begin your honeymoon tour of Ireland in our capital city, Dublin! Catch a show in Dublin’s famous Abbey theatre, stroll around Trinity College, the Guinness storehouse or Phoenix Park or soak up the atmosphere in one of Dublin’s famous music pubs. Next spend some time in the ‘Garden of Ireland’, soaking up Wicklow’s superb scenery from Powerscourt to Glendalough. Continue to Waterford and check into the luxury Waterford Castle hotel. From here discover Waterford’s Viking history through its interactive museums or take a romantic cruise down the river Suir. Discover Kerry where the Ring of Kerry driving tour provides the ultimate romantic getaway! Travel to Cork where Blarney Castle, Cobh and the romantic town of Kinsale await you with its picturesque seafront setting and plenty of great restaurants and cafes. Visit Clare, staying in the magnificent Gregans Castle and from here you will have every opportunity to discover the karst but spectacularly beautiful Burren area. Finally visit the wildly beautiful Connemara area with its stunning lakes and mountainous scenery.
Arrive Dublin Airport and meet with your experienced Irish driver/guide. All of the drivers we use are qualified guides and have such great personalities that really will make your trip unforgettable. Travel into Ireland’s capital city and visit Trinity College which houses the famous Book of Kells, transcribed by 9th century monks. Continue on to a more modern attraction, The Guinness Storehouse which tells the 250 year story of one of Ireland’s greatest exports. At the end of the tour, sample a pint of “The Blackstuff” whilst enjoying 360 degree panoramic views of the city from the Gravity Bar. After checking into your hotel, the remainder of the afternoon & evening is free for individual sightseeing. Today, we travel south into the Garden of Ireland, Wicklow County. Visits today may include, depending on the time of year, Kilruddery House & Gardens, Mount Usher Gardens, Powerscourt House & Gardens and Rissborough. Enjoy the stunning scenery on your way to the ancient monastic settlement at Glendalough that was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century. The Glendalough Valley is located in the Wicklow Mountains National Park and is renowned for its Monastic Site with Round Tower and its scenic lakes and valleys. Overnight Dublin DBB
After breakfast, head inland with exciting visits to such places as Castletown House and Parklands, Coolcarrigan Gardens, Lodge Park Walled Garden & Steam Museum and the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens. The Japanese Gardens, acclaimed as the most beautiful Japanese gardens in Europe, celebrated its centenary year in 2010.
