The European Golf Club is the course Pat Ruddy had dreamt of designing, and what a course it is. Although only a few years old, it is already one of the country's most challenging and satisfying links, with a host of classic doglegs through rugged dunes, grand views from elevated tees, and a trio of exciting holes that hug the ocean.

Every hole is truly spectacular; the ones that are not by the sea are equally as good as those that are. Blind shots are notably absent at the European but all the thrills of pitch-and -run golf, the occasional pot bunker and high rough provides for an unforgettable round. The holes facing the ocean are so naturally laid out that you feel as though you are playing right on the beach.

Comments:

"Its all there at The European Club. Every aspect of world class links golf is represented in an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere, unlike the rushed, tour bus environment at Ballybunion, to say nothing of St. Andrews." Guest Review
