Tour itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Dublin

Arrive Dublin Airport and meet with your experienced Irish driver/guide. All of the drivers we use are qualified guides and have such great personalities that really will make your trip unforgettable. Travel into Ireland’s capital city and visit Trinity College which houses the famous Book of Kells, transcribed by 9th century monks. Continue on to a more modern attraction, The Guinness Storehouse which tells the 250 year story of one of Ireland’s greatest exports. At the end of the tour, sample a pint of “The Blackstuff” whilst enjoying 360 degree panoramic views of the city from the Gravity Bar. After checking into your hotel, the remainder of the afternoon & evening is free for individual sightseeing. Why not try one of Dublin’s superb restaurants followed by an evening in one of the many entertaining pubs. Overnight Dublin BB

Day 2 - Wicklow Mountains

Today, we travel south into the Garden of Ireland, Wicklow County. Visits today may include, depending on the time of year, Kilruddery House & Gardens, Mount Usher Gardens, Powerscourt House & Gardens and Rissborough. Enjoy the stunning scenery on your way to the ancient monastic settlement at Glendalough that was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century. The Glendalough Valley is located in the Wicklow Mountains National Park and is renowned for its Monastic Site with Round Tower and its scenic lakes and valleys. Overnight Dublin DBB

Day 3 - Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens

Upon arriving in Dublin Airport and having collected your Hertz rental car it is time to take the short journey to Cashel in County Tipperary. Your first stop is The National Stud and Japanese Gardens in Kildare Town. The National Stud comprises three separate attractions. The 1,000 acre Farm at Tully has been in use as a Stud Farm since 1900 when it was owned by Col. William Hall-Walker. It is home to some of Ireland's finest thoroughbreds. There's a Horse Museum tracing the history of the horse in Ireland using artifacts as well as the Japanese Gardens which are situated in the grounds of the Stud Farm and were created between 1906 and 1910. The last leg of today’s journey brings you to the Rock of Cashel in the County of Tipperary and it has been in use since the fourth century. Because of its height and the fact that the surrounding land of Tipperary can be seen for miles, this made it an ideal fortress to defend against its enemies and was the perfect seat for the greatest of Ireland’s High Kings, Brian Boru. This site is also strongly associated with St. Patrick in the 5th century. In the evening, stroll the streets of this quaint small town and interact with the friendly locals while you enjoy the local pubs.
