Quiet roads lined with wild flowers, this tour covers all type of landscape, from rolling green fields to spectacular coastal rides. West Cork is also best known for its colourful village all of which are brightly painted in a wonderful array of vibrant colours, with wonderful hanging baskets brimming with flowers on the front of every pup and shop. Shannon Airport is the ideal international airport to fly into as it is only 2 hours drive to the heart of the South West, whereas Dublin Airport is a 5 hour drive. For those arriving from the U.K. or Europe Kerry Airport is only 15 minutes drive and Cork Airport is a 1.25 hour journey. Collect your rental car or meet with your driver. Travel half way round the spectacular Ring of Kerry to Waterville Golf Club. In 1999 at a ceremony during the now famous Ryder Cup in Brookline Massachusetts, Payne Stewart accepted the Captaincy of Waterville – the last golf honour he would receive before his tragic death. Today a life sized bronze statue pays tribute to his Captaincy and his special relationship with Waterville.

Depart Killarney this morning and head north to take a short ferry ride across the River Shannon into County Clare and on to Lahinch. Lahinch Golf Club is frequently referred to as “the St. Andrew’s of Ireland” because of its close proximity and interaction with the local village. The links is situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.
Overnight in Lahinch or in the town of Ennis. For those taking the deluxe option spend the night at the magnificent Dromoland Castle.
Doonbeg Golf Club plays along 1.5 miles of beach and dunes with the ocean visible from the green, fairway, or tee on 16 of the 18 holes. Distances
The average cycling distance is an easy 30m (45km) with longer routes being available most days. The tours are suitable for adults of all ages, but a certain level of fitness is required and taking in a few practice rides is strongly recommended. The tours are not suited for children under 13 years of age. The Ring of Kerry, the Highlands of Donegal and the Antrim tours have more hills than the other routes and are more suited to the keener cyclist.
Meals
Your guide will recommend a lunch stop each day where a snack lunch will cost between €8 and €12. A group evening meal is organised by the guide each night which costs between €18 and €25. One evening meal during the tour is included in the tour price.
Your Bicycle
We supply 18-21 speed hybrid touring models for your tour. Each booking must give your name and approximate height. Repair equipment, helmets and pannier bags are available on request.
Starting Times
Each of the tours start with a meeting group at 6:30pm on the Saturday evening in a central hotel close to the local train station and bus station. This is only a meeting point, typically the group will be staying in nearby guesthouses. The guide is able to return to the meeting place at 9:30pm again that evening and the following morning for those arriving late. After an introductory talk the guide will organise an evening meal and direct you to your first nights accommodation.

There is an additional charge of €35 for insurance cover. We insist that riders avail of our insurance policy or else have alternative cover in place
